WHAT: Max and Esme get married

The Ceremony
////////////////////////////// (Marriage) ///////
The wedding venue has been set at and around a chapel not really used much anymore in the quaint village of Stormreach. The locals were glad to let Max and Esme use space in order to celebrate their big day and house a celebration of their own. Halloween is different in a lot of worlds and Max promised to add some more fun to the celebrations. It is a time of remembrance in Ellipsa and also a time to celebrate life, so Max says. The ceremony will be held in the chapel proper with a suited younger man, clean shaven and hair perfectly in place, officiating the wedding. He has two different colored eyes, each the opposite of Esme's, right eye is violet and left hazel.
Max and Esme write their own vows, of course.
Esme's vows go first. "You are my heart. It's tattered and full of holes, but you've filled so many that I don't care. No matter where I end up or how many times I have to start over, you're always there to support and understand me. To make sure that I know I'm loved and never alone. You make the impossible feel possible. And I'll never give up on you in whatever form that takes. I'll find my way back to you, keep my heart open for you...and I'll never take this for granted. Because I don't have the words for how much I love you, so I'll show it instead."
Max's follows. "You are my everything. I say it a lot and to pretty much anyone who will listen and it's the truth. Esme, you are my world. The reason I continue on. My love for you is what has kept me going throughout everything we've been through. Ever since you walked into that little 7 Eleven back in Florida, through time loops, separation, crazy world ending scenarios, a giant calculator, giant spiders, and all that jazz. You never give up. You never gave up on me. And I will never ever stop loving you. Today you make me the happiest, well, me in the multiverse. Because you said yes. And for the rest of eternity, I promise to always find you, I will never let you go, and I will always love you. You are my everything and I give you ever bit of myself."
Vows said, the mysterious person who officiated the wedding will declare them married and permit them to kiss. Which is a long kiss with just a bit of tongue before they run down the aisle and back outside. A bouquet of flowers being tossed by Max over his shoulder and bursts over the heads of the guests. Every guest getting one flower that floats down toward them to take and keep. They are beautiful flowers of bright green, steely blue, violet, and hazel. It's hard to tell what kind they are as they have four petals per flower, each one of the four distinct colors. They look strikingly like the Frasera flowers, should one open a botanical book or have the knowledge of such things, just with obvious color symbolism for the two grooms.
Enjoy your free flower!
The Reception
////////////////////////////// (Food) ///////
Outside of the chapel and around the area is the reception. Canvas tents are pitched everywhere so even the rain can't ruin the festivities. Quite the spread has been arranged for the wedding. From cute pastries provided by the ever gracious Plots and Patisserie to a large catered table of delectable favorites. Max and Esme have made sure dietary restrictions were considered. There are vegan options, vegetarian options, pure meat options, and all are separate with their own serving utensils to avoid cross contamination. Enjoy a steak dinner, a beautiful pasta salad, fish, chicken, even pizza. And candy apple slices, of course. With a table dedicated to decorating and covering them in whatever goodies you could desire. There is also a hot chocolate fountain. It is colder in Stormsreach, after all.
Enjoy the food at a number of standing and sitting tables. Chat with the grooms or each other. You'll need your energy for the rest of the party.
The Reception
////////////////////////////// (Dancing) ///////
Of course there would be music at the wedding. A dance floor as been laid out with fairy lights hanging over the area to provide plenty of lighting. Standing braziers also line the outside of the dance floor to help keep the dancer's warm. The first dance, of course, belonging to Esme and Max.
The The music for the night is an eclectic collection of music to dance to and enjoy the festivities with. The first dance being to the very first song on the large playlist. Max and Esme start in the center of th dance floor as the lights dim and the song plays. They start to dance with a simple waltz to the song. As the tempo increases, so too does the pace of their dance. Both spinning and singing the lines of the song to one another.
The air itself shimmers as the song plays and the couple dances. Shards of glass appear beneath their feet and around them. As they step, the glass forms under each step, rising them into the air as if dancing up a staircase of shimmering air. The two stepping up faster and faster until the end of the song. Esme and Max holding the other close as they stand on a single glass platform that gently spins as it lowers them back to the dancefloor. The glass vanishes as the music fades away.
From there, the music shuffles between the other songs on their playlist. Join in the dancing, ask Max or Esme for a dance, and enjoy the collection of songs. There is likely a song on there for everyone to get down and have fun to.
The Reception
////////////////////////////// (Mingle) ///////
The guests invited to the wedding and reception are all welcome to mingle and talk amongst themselves. Max and Esme, of course, will be around for mingling as well. Checking on their guests and making sure people are enjoying themselves. Yet there are three people who are strangers that can be found mingling about as well.
One is the mysterious figure who officiated the wedding. With eyes that match Esme's but opposite placements. He looks similar to Esme, though much more posh and put together. He's friendly enough if a bit distant on first approach. He will introduce himself as The Representative of the Curator. Esme's fetch. He's here for the wedding, thanks to Max.
Next are a couple who never stray from one another. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Faulkner. They wear nice older clothes. Mr. Faulkner wearing a rough wool suit in a dark brown and her a simple dress in soft green and a sun hat. They stay together and are happy to speak to any of Esme and Max's friends. They are, clearly, Esme's parents. Who also will stay they are here to see their son married, thanks to Max.
Feel free to mingle amongst yourselves as well, of course.
Spooky Stuff
////////////////////////////// (Haunted House) ///////
The area around the reception has been decorated with all sorts of fun Halloween themed activities. One being a large Haunted House. It's set about with winding dark mazes, creepy sounds, and jump scares aglore with freaky monsters, a woman in white with long black hair, and other events like blood running down walls, doors slamming shut, and the place feeling like it twists and turns beside being in a hallway before. It's all in good fun, of course. Make your way through and to select a picture from your time within.
Go through with a friend to see which of you gets scared the most.
Trick or Treat Corner
////////////////////////////// (For the kids) ///////
For the kids, a section of small houses has been set up. Like playset houses made of wood and plastic. They sit in a small area off to the side with ten houses in total. Perfect for a small round of trick or treating. Living dolls of junk will open the doors, comment on the costumes with positive remarks, before giving out candy. Every house gives out different things; small candies, homemade treats, tooth brushes, fruit, and full sized candy bars. It's all in good fun for the kids or for those wanting to feel like a kid again.
Sending the 'Special Guests Home'
////////////////////////////// (CW: murder and lies) ///////
After the reception comes to an end and people depart, Max stays behind with the surprise guests. He leads them behind the chapel, sure he is alone with them. They are sure as well. They each draw a weapon, taken from the party. A bottle of wine, a kitchen knife, and a steak knife. Max doesn't even turn around as they come at him. White hands, skeletal and frightening, with thin arms explode from his back. The three try to fight off the hands but they split, multiply, and grab their heads. With a quick jerk, all three of their necks are snapped. They fall to the ground, dead.
Max turns around and tilts his head at them. "That was faster than I expected. When Eva did this, it lasted longer. Oh well," he holds up his hands, pressed palm to palm. Then spreads his hands. The earth beneath them begins to part allowing them to sink down into the very ground. He makes sure to bury them deep before covering the trio. Their mounds settle before Max motions down strongly. The mounts go flat and compact once more. So signs of what he did. He dusts his hands off.
"Off to home you go."
